Principal Scientist - Energy Storage

£50,000-60,000 Pension + Holiday

In this role you will provide technical direction and hands-on support within the energy storage search group, including providing scientific guidance in the design, set-up and execution of experiments and also provide technical reports/presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has a PhD/MSC in Electrochemistry/Material sciences/Chemical Engineering, have 5+ years industrial work experience , knowledge of electrochemical characterisation methods and performance parameters in energy storage devices.

The Role:

*Accountable for research and development decisions

*Product development goals in energy storage

*Lab results analysis and interpretation

*Provide technical reports/presentations to internal and external stakeholders

*Offer technical mentorship

The Person:

*PhD or MSc degree in Electrochemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material sciences

*5+ years relevant industrial work

*Experimental practice and knowledge of safety in a lab (Risk assessments and COSHH)

*Experienced in Electrochemical characterisation methods and performance parameters in energy storage devices

*Strong leadership skills
