Backend Software Engineer Hillingdon to £80k

Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Linux Kernel Go C++ Java Rust) *Remote Interview WfH*. Do you have an indepth knowledge of Linux including Linux Kernel / low level development skills?

You could be progressing your career at a fast growing cybersecurity company that has experienced great success in the last few years, winning multiple industry awards for their ground breaking technology.

As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop the software that is implemented on the client, this is typically a user's laptop or PC for employee level security analysis but also extends to the customer server architecture including operating systems, applications and network activity. You'll be working at computer system level on applications that use an incredibly low amount of device processing power that does not interfere with daily operations.

The company prides itself on innovation; you'll be keen to keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and trends and make continuous improvements to processes and tools, driving best practice and helping to mentor and develop others in the team.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in the coming months you'll join colleagues for 1-2 days a week (or more if desired).

Requirements:

You have a range of backend development experience with strong skills in at least one of the following (ideally more!): Go, C, C++, Java, Python, Rust

You have an indepth knowledge of Linux OS including kernel / systems level programming

You're keen to develop your skills and be an integral part of an impressive R&D technology led company

You're collaborative, keen to learn and help develop others

You're degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above (Computer Science or similar)

The product is a multi-platform solution, so include Windows, Mac and Linux clients, therefore knowledge of Windows OS would be beneficial
