Who You Are / Your Next Challenge We are searching for a highly collaborative and technically gifted Senior Network Engineer to join our vibrant IT Services Team at Moneycorp, based in our London, Victoria office. Reporting into the Director of IT Operations, this crucial role will see you help shape and deliver Moneycorp's network requirements as well as make recommendations for service reliability and efficiency improvements. As Moneycorp's network technologist guru, your primary responsibilities will be split between project-focused tasks (F5, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki) relating to our Azure cloud migration programme, as well as 3rd-line ticket escalations. You will also provide support for Moneycorp's network infrastructure; core/distribution/access-level routing, switching and firewall hardware, load-balancers, as well as remote office and branch networks. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate expert technical knowledge as a Network Engineer as they will additionally provide support and accountability for several in-house network & security-focused hardware appliances and software solutions. You will be engaging with key external stakeholders (circuit, MPLS & data-centre providers) in order to progress network projects, change requests and incident management. Therefore, we are ideally looking for someone who has extensive experience as a Network Engineer looking for a step up or is currently operating as a Senior Network Engineer and possess sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, clear project management experience and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders to deliver sustainable business solutions to complex challenges. Please note: we also have an additional 3 months contract position (Inside IR35) available to start ASAP, offering a daily rate of £450 - £550. This can be accessed via our career page.  What we're looking for / Skills that will help you in the role Essential: Extensive professional work experience in a Senior Network Engineer role (ideally in a regulated organisation). Significant knowledge of L2 switching technologies (STP, RSTP, VTP, Etherchannels, VLANs, trunking) and L3 switching (SVIs, inter-VLAN routing). Demonstrable experience and knowledge with networking fundamentals such as VLANs, NAT, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP. Have a combination of F5, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, and Microsoft Azure certifications (Highly crucial). Practical experience with Microsoft Azure networking technologies (Highly advantageous). Have substantial knowledge/experience of Cloudflare technologies. Proven experience with Cisco ACL creation and management. Technical experience managing next-gen firewalls (e.g. Palo Alto). Sound experience managing IPS/IDS technologies, DNS and SSL/TLS. Previous experience with load-balancing technologies, preferably F5 BIG-IP. Ability the ability to breakdown complex information to suit a particular audience. Previous experience in taking part and managing projects and change management initiatives in a fast-paced, complex environment. A can-do, enthusiastic and helpful attitude towards a range of stakeholders and fellow team members. Solution-focused approach and the ability to make objective decisions and recommendations. Ability to communicate effectively and work unsupervised whilst managing multiple projects. Proficient at building relationships at all levels and influencing a range of senior stakeholders, challenging decision making to help drive continuous improvements. In addition to the essential criteria it is desirable and will be high advantageous if you: Have SD-WAN, Zero Trust Networking, WAF, Internet Gateways, Email security, DNS, SSL/TLS. Have Cisco CUCM VOIP configuration and management experience. Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position. The role will be home-based for the duration of the COVID-19 lockdown restriction. Thereafter, the job is expected to be office-based in Victoria, London as part of the IT Services team with the option for flexible work arrangements.
