Data EngineerRemote/Edinburgh
We’re looking for several Data Engineers who are familiar and comfortable with Apache Kafka to contribute to the delivery of a new streaming platform. You’ll be working with a team of skilled data engineers who will be providing support for the applications on streaming platforms and helping to build the applications on the streaming platform.
You will ideally have over 3 years of expertise in the Data Engineering space with eagerness to learn. You will be contributing and delivering large complex Digital Transformation programmes across the UK.
As a Data Engineer you will have worked on Data Integration into Cloud Data Warehouses or Data Lakes, programming, APIs, etc. in an Agile environment.
This is within the financial services sector and you will be working remotely until 2022. This is then flexible in Edinburgh with travel and accommodation expenses paid for.
Tech Stack:
Spring BootRESTful interfaces/REST APIsUnixKnowledge of Apache Kafka ecosystem
Additional desirable stack:
Stateless Data Streaming Tools (Flume/NiFi/StreamSets/Kafka Connect etc)Streaming Process Engine (Spark Structured Streaming/Flink/Kafka Streams etc)
You must have the right to work in the U.K without restriction. We can potentially accommodate for Tier 2 Dependent’s where you will be obtaining ILR, otherwise you will have to have a BNO, ILR or Citizenship.
