Job Description Ensure appropriate governance to maintain solution baseline throughout the delivery life cycle Provide implementation and consultancy to install, build and configure all system elements from software to hardware. Provide post delivery support and technical training to internal and external staff. Maintain implementation documentation to allow third parties to deploy software to the in-house standard Maintain accurate quality records of customer project work, sufficient to allow seamless handovers Manage problems through to resolution escalating proactively and formally as necessary Maintain effective working relationships with customer and Northgate colleagues Manage the customer so that customer understands their responsibilities within the project and ensuring that the customers fulfill their responsibilities Manage directly the technical issues of assigned projects by interfacing with the technical personnel employed by the end user, the Main Contractor, suppliers, sub-contractors; within targeted quality bounds and to targeted timescales Manage acceptance of the system or phase to ensure there is no dispute over the acceptance Qualifications Security clearance would be a huge advantage Excellent communication skills, working with minimal direction but promoting an open flow of information so that all concerned are well informed; Effective relationships builder, developing working relationships with clients and individuals in other business units; Working knowledge of the project life-cycle, structured methodologies, and delivering projects on time to budget; Organizes time effectively, determining the right resources needed to effectively perform job assignments; Technically proficient working with and installing software Strong and professional attitude to working with third party suppliers Open minded to technical and commercial opportunities Strong decision-making skills; Sales and commercially aware; Microsoft Office. Familiarity with the following technologies; A very good working knowledge of Unix based technologies from both a user and an administrator perspective Relational Database (SQL-Server, Oracle) MS-Windows Operating Systems Java Apache Tomcat Solaris/UNIX IIS **Please note applicants MUST be eligible to undergo government security clearance** Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
