EDI Specialist

Work from home, later Milton Keynes

£40-45k base salary + monthly profit share, pension scheme, onsite gym

Our client is a global distributor of supplies for business and employs 3000 individuals globally. We have been asked to assist in the hire of an EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Specialist, in the UK division, based close to Milton Keynes / Bedford. As EDI Specialist, you will be accountable for all Procure to Pay (P2P) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) related activities.

You will ensure that all transactional purchasing and support services are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard. You will act as the product owner and SME of the P2P processes and systems and will fully support all business areas through any challenges they have with managing operations and P2P activity.

Role Responsibilities include:

*Managing communication between customers and internal parties and ensuring that the sales team are equipped with the training and support they need to liaise with customers.

*Setting up routines and procedures that enable the business to monitor, co-ordinate and continuously improve the purchase to pay process.

*Providing first line support for all EDI related queries and ensuring the wider IT support team are adequately trained to deputise query resolution in their absence.

Desired Skills (not all essential):

*Implementing P2P systems in a mid-size company, with knowledge of EDI protocols and system integration using Modern ETL tools

*Experience of monitoring of Electronic transactions and acting as the primary point of escalation to resolve issues

*Solid understanding of Commercially available EDI translation packages.

*REST API , XML and scripting knowledge

*An understanding of networking protocols and web architecture

*Ability to prioritise their own workload so tasks can be completed to a customer's satisfaction and meet Service Level Agreements where necessary.

*Excellent communication skills
