IT Operations / Major Incident Lead

Salary £55-75k depending on experience, plus good benefits package

As a tier 1 preferred supplier to one of the world's leading consultancies we have be asked to assist with the search and selection of an IT Operations / Major Incident Lead, who will act as a bridge between this high profile client's specialised digital department and the main business. This role is at heart of the IT delivery organisation and will require expertise in managing the delivery of services, solutions, and operations.

Responsibilities include:

*Management of Major Incidents and ensures effective interface to all associated processes (Major Incident Reporting, RCA, Problem Management, Knowledge Management)

*Ensure there is effective ownership and development of Operational Playbooks to drive swift resolution of major incidents

*Ensure there is effective facilitation and planning of all out of hours Change activity, resulting in effective communication, time planning, and preventing change or Business conflict.

*Acting as the 'guardian' of change, providing ultimate sign off for changes to commence, determining and enforcing cut-off points for implementation, and being the key decision maker

*Ensure that prior to start of day, ensures that all Business-Critical services are available and performing, through effective alignment with support teams

*Drive continuous improvement and proactive problem management for key IT systems

KEY SKILLS

*Strong delivery management, with the ability to interact with clients at all levels

*Managing of Major Incidents, providing leadership to resolution and clear communications

*Able to lead teams and drive activities within tight timeframes

*Able to direct and drive Analytical Problem Solving and effective Root Cause Analysis

*ITIL v4 Foundation

*Strong leadership and Stakeholder Management Skills

*Ideally have experience of working in a large outsource service environment
