Lead UI/UX Designer - Filigree Technologies Vauxhall / York, England, Competitive per annum + bonus (if agreed) Job Type : Permanent Managed by : Product Leadership Description : As Lead UI/UX Designer you require the following skills - - Deep understanding of UI/UX design principles - Hands on creation of visual design - Successful development of company wide design systems - Team leadership In addition to those skills it would be beneficial to have knowledge of - - Cloud application development - Multidimensional data - BI / Planning tools, and data visualisation (e.g. Tableau) - SME / b2b No code and/or data platforms Your main day to day responsibilities will be leading the product UI/UX function and - - Sharing your passion for UI/UX and design thinking - Balancing you (and your team’s) time between User Research, User Experience, Visual Design and day to day working with the development team - Working closely with Marketing colleagues to ensure Visual Design and User Experience is effective across the entire product and buying experience - Interpreting stakeholder requirements into innovative and actionable designs at the appropriate level of detail - Demonstrate high quality design practices - including participation in all aspects of UI/UX research, ideation, strategy, interaction design, and visual design - Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks - Develop a framework for judging the success or failure of the UI/UX - Develop frameworks to ensure consistent style and design quality across the platform and it’s modules - Education to empower wider design decision making in line with our goals - Maintain working knowledge of tools that - - Perform calculations on, visualise, interact and ingest multidimensional data - Facilitate planning activities, in particular SPM & FP&A. - Provide No code / Low code environments - Attend stand-ups and retrospectives to ensure smooth development pipeline - Develop a good understanding of the platform to ensure your work fits with the overall design / working principles of the platform. - Keep the Product Leadership informed of any likely delays or concerns you may have with the delivery of work in a timely manner. Based at our open-plan offices at China Works (the former Royal Doulton building) in Vauxhall, you will be part of our highly collaborative development team working on our core platform and multidimensional node based engine. The area enjoys extensive public transport connections with links to Vauxhall, Waterloo and Victoria main line and underground stations. Please note, at present, the team is working from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We have no imminent plans to return to our offices in China Works, and are evaluating our position month by month.
