Test & Development Engineer Huddersfield Up to £40k+ Are you a Test Engineer / Development Engineer / Test & Development Engineer with a background in Hardware & Software?Do you have experience in defining system test approaches incorporating Hardware, Software and Mechanics?Do you have Test & Development Engineering experience in Complex Electro-Mechanical Equipment?If so, then see below…….Test & Development Engineer Huddersfield Up to £40k+ Huxley Engineering and an Engineering Innovator in Complex Electro-Mechanical Engineering, based near Huddersfield, are looking to recruit a Test & Development Engineer on a staff basis, owning to support strategic objectives and expansion in Research, Development & Manufacturing capability at its Huddersfield HQ.As the Test & Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in defining and executing test protocols for high complexity next generation Electro-Mechanical Equipment and this includes utilising your extensive analytical test experience to create bespoke test environments and rigs for a combination of both software, electronics and electro-mechanical hardware-focused arenas.As the Test & Development Engineer, you will liaise with both R&D and Manufacturing teams to deliver manual and automated verification, reliability and validation tests of highly complex electromechanical, software and electronics systems.You will help solve manufacturing critical problems with a focus on robust test coverage for all safety critical functions.The Test & Development Engineer will support the development of engineering solutions to meet with the proposed product technology roadmaps, supporting projects from the initial concepts to final hand-over to production, ensuring quality is designed and built in at every stage through the development cycle.Responsibilities of Test & Development Engineer:Ensures all aspects of Technical Development, Certification and Audit testing are full and complete to allow New Product Introductions (NPI) to be right first time, within cost, and meet quality requirements.Ensures that all necessary approval documentation is obtained, is valid and readily available.Identification and development of product innovation opportunities.Participate in team activities e.g. (Projects Reviews, Design FMEA, Process FMEA, Ideation)Carry out relevant testing and produce technical reports.Support quality improvements of pre-existing systems and products.To remain up to date on relevant standardsTo provide on-going support and training to other members of the team.To manage the appropriate inter-relationships with key contacts, internal and external to the business.Qualification & Experience Required for Test & Development Engineer Role:HNC / HND / Degree in a technical / scientific discipline or extensive experience in a similar roleProven track record in a similar role of a Development / Test Engineer with test engineering experience in the design or manufacture of Complex Electro-Mechanical EquipmentTechnical expertise in at least one area of engineering: Electrical or ElectronicGood knowledge of Electrical, Electronic & Mechanical principles and safety testing of those systemsFamiliar with risk management processes including RCA and Hazard AnalysisExperience of planning and executing tests from requirementsExpert knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes/environmentGood experience of defining system test approaches incorporating Hardware, Software and Mechanics.Willingness to learn the other complementary engineering disciplines with aim of become a multi skilled Electro/Mechanical Test & Development Engineer able to support all aspect of product developmentFor the successful Test & Development Engineer, a salary up to £40,000 is on offer and this Test & Development Engineer role is commutable from Huddersfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Pontefract, Dewsbury, Holmfirth, Penistone, Oldham, Rochdale and Holmfirth.To be considered for this Test & Development Engineer role, please apply via the link below.
