Manufacturing Engineer Huddersfield Up to £37k+ Are you a Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer / Continuous Improvement Engineer?Do you have Manufacturing Engineering experience in the manufacture and assembly of complex Electro-Mechanical Assemblies?Do you have a passion for Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement?If so, then see below…….Manufacturing Engineer Huddersfield Up to £37k+ Huxley Engineering and an Engineering Innovator in Complex Electro-Mechanical Engineering, based near Huddersfield, are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer on a staff basis, owning to support strategic objectives and to develop the engineering, manufacturing & assembly capability at its Huddersfield HQ. Supporting the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical expertise, developing, improving and maintaining systems, processes, procedures and process controls by utilizing expert skills acquired in complex manufacturing & assembly, engineering problem solving and six sigma/lean methodologies. Responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:Research, justify and implement capital expenditures to improve utilization of working capital.Evaluate rework and reject levels for design, process and training improvement opportunities.Institute process and product improvement - results will be a positive impact on production cycle time, production costs and product quality.Analyse and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow and design layout of equipment and workspace for optimum efficiency and safety.Creating and maintaining process work instructionsApply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.Develop and evaluate equipment and process to produce a high-quality product at a competitive cost.Participate in qualification/development of suppliers for components, sub-assemblies and processes.Facilitate development of corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues.Establish and document manufacturing processes.Conduct manufacturing feasibility review; generate assembly instructions and tooling.Provide technical direction, training and certification for operators performing detail process steps to ensure that the team have necessary skills, appropriate documentation, tooling and process control capability.Resolve technical problems which effect quality, manufacturability, delivery and costs.Manage the specification, sourcing and installation of new equipment through to manufacturing.Ensure strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures with reference to health, safety and quality.Qualification & Experience Required for Manufacturing Engineer Role:HNC / HND or Degree Level in an engineering disciplineExperience in a Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer style roleProven Manufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement / LEAN Manufacturing Experience within a fast pace, demanding engineering, manufacturing or assembly environmentKnowledge of MRP SystemsInvolvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvementExcellent lean and continuous improvement knowledgeExperienced with CAPEX projects, machinery selection and factory layout.All-round knowledge of design, quality, NPI, projects and production / process engineeringPrevious experience of process improvement methodologiesPassion for Manufacturing Engineering and willingness to learn.For the successful Manufacturing Engineer, a salary up to £37,000 is on offer and this Manufacturing Engineer role is commutable from Huddersfield, Sheffield, Barnsley, Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Pontefract, Dewsbury, Holmfirth, Penistone, Oldham, Rochdale and Holmfirth.To be considered for this Manufacturing Engineer role, please apply via the link below.
