This organisation, based in Nottingham, has been installing control and automation systems for feed and grain plants since 1979. They are recognised as a market leader and have a growing reputation for providing easy to use, flexible and innovative control systems worldwide. Their control engineers play a vital part in implementing these systems from design to installation.
What you'll do
Working mainly from the head office in West Bridgford, Nottingham, Control Engineers are involved in the whole project life cycle; designing, configuring and commissioning projects across their wide and growing customer base. You'll use their in house developed SCADA software to provide efficient plant automation. When systems are fully prepared you will commission and install them on site, occasionally at weekends. Work at customer's sites will be mostly UK based with occasional overseas travel. Joining an environment of innovation, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn, develop and make a real contribution. Full training on the company's products and process will be provided.
What you'll need
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with PLCs/SCADA in a factory environment. You'll have an interest in problem solving and a conscientious and resourceful approach. You must also have a strong customer focus and good communication skills. A full driving licence will be required to travel to customer sites.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- PLC programming ability
- Familiarity with SCADA systems
- Knowledge of Windows Server and PCs
Experience and knowledge in the following would also be an advantage:
- Electrical engineering experience
- Materials handling processes particularly in the feed and grain sector
- Ethernet networking
- SQL Server database
