Lead Data Scientist London to £150k
Lead Data Scientist. Would you like to progress your career in a senior, hands-on position where you can set best practice and make the technical decisions? As the Lead Data Scientist you will have oversight of three Data Science teams, providing technical leadership and mentoring to ensure first class Machine Learning / AI data analytics platform that can inform the business strategy and be an integral product feature to make recommendations to users. You'll also take the lead on a project to migrate the existing on-prem data platform infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in time you'll join accomplished colleagues in the London office for part of the week with the option to work from home for the rest.
You have a strong background as a Data Scientist with experience of leading high performing Data Science teams
You have experience of making technical decisions and establishing best practice for large systems at scale
You're able to mentor and coach more junior team members
You have a strong knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and algorithm design
You have strong coding ability with Scala and / or Python
Ideally you will have experience of a migrating on-prem data platforms to the Cloud (GCP or AWS)
You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills
You're degree educated in a relevant field, likely to have gone onto study at MSc or PhD level (although this isn't essential if you have relevant commercial experience)
