Jefferson Frank is searching for a Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer required to help finalise the AWS infrastructure for a tech start-up who specialise in Digital Wellbeing for businesses and schools.The startup help people use technology in a safe, secure and healthy way - avoiding cyber bullying for kids, preventing fraud, securing social media, reducing digital distractions and screen-time and enabling productive remote working from home.Core RequirementsDocker and CI/CD pipeline mgmtGitHub ActionsCognito, SES and SNSSecrets Manager & KMSCloudWatchAn understanding of:VPC, Subnets and Security Groups.Elastic Load BalancerS3 & CloudFront (CDN)Elastic Container Services, combined with Fargate, Docker & Elastic Container Registry.DNS (e.g. CNAME edits) & SSL certs on AWS Certificates ManagerNice to haves Java background (This is a pure DevOps role and the organisation have a Front and Backend Developer)ReactTypescriptWhat is the Role?The work will be an initial 4-week full-time (5 days per week) project to finalise our infrastructure. There will then be a retainer arrangement setup (X number of days per month) where we'd need your support to help maintain the infrastructure.You'll be working alongside the Head of Engineering and CEO, in a team of 6. We already have the majority of our infrastructure and architecture setup, you'll just need to come in, check we are building according to best practice, check cost efficiency, implement critical changes and finalise the infrastructure ensuring it can scale. We'll then look to retain you on a specific number of days per month to help resolve issues and ensure all works well.Contract length: 1 month followed up by an adhoc arrangementJob Types: Full-time, ContractRate £300-£380 per day
