The work of NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) impacts on a huge proportion of the population. Every month, we gather thousands of units of blood for transfusion purposes, and we work tirelessly to enable the retrieval and transportation organs and tissues to the optimal patient. Digital, Data and Technology Services play a vital part in this work. And it is within this forward-thinking team that you could find an exceptional challenge, plus the scope to develop your skills and expertise even further.  About the role: This is an opportunity to develop and expand your digital project management experience as part of our Blood Technology Product Centre. Working under the guidance of the Senior Delivery Lead, you'll support and learn from our delivery leads as they manage large scale technology changes whilst having the opportunity to put your skills to the test as you initially lead and manage some of our smaller initiatives. Expect to be involved across each project lifecycle, from discovery to go-live. You'll also work with third-party suppliers to ensure they meet cost, time and quality targets.  Joining our expert, multidisciplinary team you'll have opportunities for shadowing, mentoring and other development activities, with the level of challenge growing in line with your skills. Outwith the product centre you will form part of the delivery community of practice where you will have the opportunity to contribute to best practice as well as learn and develop through collaborating with peers throughout the organisation. About you: We are looking for candidates who have a digital, agile mindset along with a positive and can-do attitude and a passion for developing their delivery and project management skills further through working in and with our delivery leads. Qualified in a recognised project management methodology such as Agile, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master, you'll be ready to engage and manage colleagues and stakeholders, both inside and outside the organisation. Along with good planning, delivery and communications skills, your experience will include: Leading small to medium-scale projects in the public sector, including governance and assurance processes Working as part of a team in support of the full digital product lifecycle Using traditional project management processes as well agile and lean practices, tools and techniques Managing small teams and third-party contracted technology suppliers. Have knowledge of agile and traditional delivery practices, tools and techniques and a solid understanding of the Government Digital Standards (GDS) Have great problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and identify the measures that need to be taken.
