At this time, all customer development has been carried out by an external 3rd party, and our client is now looking to bring it all inhouse.

We are looking for a Database Architect to join the team based in Chessington. You will be responsible for the Database architecture and design, defining and delivering new software systems and extending existing ones, and mentoring and coaching other developers as they carry out build work.

Skills / Environment (not all essential)

*Microsoft SQL Server skills covering MS-SQL, SSIS, SSRS

*Excellent database performance skills including execution plans, query design, indexing and profiling

*Experience in general database design and modelling

*Agile and Scrum experience would be an advantage

*Ability to mentor and guide junior team members

The successful Database Architect will help shape, create, develop and evolve the database architecture that underpins the software products and will carry out more complex development tasks. You will require solid SQL Server skills, as well strong database design and modelling experience. The Database Architect will define SQL development standards and guideline definition and implementation and provide technical guidance and coaching to developers.

Salary: circa 60K
