The role
You will support Record to Report (R2R) process optimisation and best practice across IHS, perform General Ledger Accounting, Closing and Reporting for the assigned entities and finalize high quality balance sheet reconciliations which can stand the test of audit.
Responsibilities
Support change, process standardization & continuous improvement mindset across IHS
Basic knowledge of R2R best practice & trends
Calculation and processing of journal entries
Calculation and processing of allocations
Processing and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
Processing period end adjustments
Enforce approval limits
Bank/ cash reconciliations
Payroll processing
Insurance claims and accounting
Perform FX revaluation
Prepare and post management adjustments
Prepare trial balance
Close General Ledger
Preparation of general ledger / balance sheet reconciliations
Deep understanding of the end-to-end R2R processes in scope
Demonstrate competencies in financial accounting, analytical thinking and problem solving
Working knowledge of applicable IFRS and IAS (IFRS 9, 15, 16 and IAS 7,12, 16, 36 and 37
Requirements
Minimum 3 years post graduate experience (essential)
Worked in Shared Services type environment (desirable)
Recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (essential)
