About the role: Joining our Blood Technology Product Centre, you'll look at the bigger picture to ensure we have the IT capacity we need, when we need it. You'll create a robust, scalable platform technology strategy that ensures our technical environment and infrastructure aligns with current and future requirements.  This means understanding the needs of diverse technical and business stakeholders, as well as assessing dependencies, risks and issues. Working closely with different delivery teams, as well as third-party suppliers, you'll ensure that builds, patches, data refreshes and daily management   of our environments are fully planned and co-ordinated so that we can develop, test and runour products and services and therefore realise our blood technology modernisation programme. About you: We are looking for candidates who have significant environment management experience, who have a digital, agile mindset along with a positive and can-do attitude. We want you to play in ensuring in understanding our needs as a product team and setting our development, testing and operations team up for success. You'll have the capacity to analyse complex technical scenarios combined with the ability to negotiate with different teams. Although this is not a hands-on software development role, you will need to understand the development and testing lifecycle and ideally have a degree or related professional qualification to underpin your practical experience. We will also look for you to: Have experience in project planning and providing accurate forecasts and estimates Have experience with ITIL Release, change and service management processes Hae experience of working with cloud based solutions with multiple integration points Have experience of working with DBMS & Development tools such as Open VMS & MIMER Have experience working with MS Platforms Be highly articulate and credible, consistently influencing and delivering inspiring, engaging, and meaningful information regarding future direction Build collaborative relationships and solve issues by engaging the right people at the right time Engage widely with customers to seek input into setting strategic objectives and identifying new ideas and improved ways of working Demonstrate strong leadership, influence, and accountability for the achievement of results Recognise when change is required and demonstrate personal ownership for pursuing, communicating and implementing the change, whilst minimising the motivational impact on others About us: This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that genuinely cares.
