Job Title: Insight Officer - Technical DevelopmentLocation: Telford, TF3Salary: £27,741 - £29,577 per annumHours: 37 hours per week, full working yearCan you see how technology can be used to improve the storing, reporting and analysis of data? We are driving forward partnership working, evidence based decision making and organisational development.The role:You'll be based in a strong and growing Insight Team who provide analysis and reporting to the Council in order to support evidence based decision making. This is a new role that reflects our commitment to continuously improve our use of technology to extract, manage and visualise data.You will be supporting the Insight Partner on:The extraction, storage and management of complex data from a range of sources to support all aspects of data reportingEnsuring the extraction, storage and management of data by the Insight Team is consistent and based on sound design and principlesThe use of complex reporting software and programming language to extract, manage and organise dataThe consistent and appropriate use of software to extract, store and visualise data across the Insight TeamSupporting an organisational culture of well-informed decision making by providing meaningful intelligence to decision makersEnsuring data reporting and extraction standards are maintained and improved in all new system implementation projectsMaintaining an extensive knowledge and understanding of the latest technology regarding data management and reportingAbout you:We're looking for someone who:Already works in a similar role and is looking for an exciting new opportunityIs skilled in extracting, storing and managing complex data to support reportingIs a confident user of complex reporting software and related programming languages for example SQL/M/DAXIs ready to support our journey to implementing Power BI for data visualisationUnderstands the challenges associated with a high profile roleIs educated to honours degree level or its equivalent in terms of qualifications or experiencePlease click on the APPLY button and you will be redirected to the council's career page to complete your application.Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Systems Analyst, Solutions Analyst, Business Analyst, BI Analyst, Technical Development Officer, Information Analyst, Junior Analyst, may also be considered for this role.
