After Treatment Test Engineer - Darlington - Contract

Due to an increase in workload my client are looking for a Test Engineer for the Darlington site.

The client will provide 4-5 weeks training and candidates will be paired with mentor.

Candidates preferably have around 2 years of experience in a similar role but graduates are also accepted.

Initial assignment duration is 6 months with a possibility for extension.

This role is 100% on site.

Candidates will be working with after treatment team to run various testing on after treatment system in AVL dynamometer testing environment.

The client will provide 5-5 weeks training and candidates will be paired with mentor.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

* Interpret test requests for diesel engine and after treatment development testing in engine dynamometer test cells, write test instructions, prepare necessary test scripts and logging files.

* Ensure engine, after treatment and associated hardware is available and set-up correctly for each test.

* Oversee the operation of the test cell and provide support to the test cell operator and facilities team when necessary.

* Analyse test data for test quality and identify issues with the test related to either equipment or software.

* Troubleshoot test cell issues including hardware, test sequence and scripting, instructions and test procedures and provide both short- and long-term solutions.

* Develop new and manage existing test procedures for both standard and non-standard tasks.

* This role is hands-on, you will be given the opportunity to carry out testing and support operators in equipment installation and trouble shooting.

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

* Previous experience in AVL dynamometer testing environment preferred

* Previous experience with multiple applications, including Microsoft applications

* Methodical and data-based approach to problem solving, Strong team working skills and communication skills.
