Software Engineer / Python Developer (Data OOP Linux) Exceptional opportunity has opened at a pioneering technology company for a skilled Software Engineer to support their breakthrough core platforms.

The company has been built on world-class investment and technology expertise and is growing rapidly. It's an exciting time to join as they are about to launch following a successful stealth mode. They work predominantly with industry-leading private equity firms, investors and portfolio companies.

As a Software Engineer you'll support the cutting edge pre and post-acquisition platforms. Here, there is a deep appreciation of data and analytics in creating value for their clients and how they operate as an investment firm, and you'll be responsible for designing, developing, operating and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and services as well as designing and developing tools, libraries and SDKs.

You'll work with a diverse, up-to-the-minute tech stack including Python, Kedro, FastAPI, Docker and more. Experience with any modern development language will be considered, along with good Python experience. You'll gain exposure to new technologies and will have plenty of opportunities to develop and refine your technical craft.

You'll join colleagues in London-based offices in due course, with continued flexible work opportunities (2 -3 days working from home per week)*

Requirements:

You're degree educated (2.1 or above) in Computer Science or related discipline

You have strong OO programming skills in Python (Python experience essential, other OO languages also considered)

You have experience working across the full software development lifecycle of RESTful/ RPC APIs and services

You're data-driven and have good working knowledge of databases like Postgres, MySQL

You have knowledge of/ interested in IaC tools like Terraform/ Ansible

You have experience developing for Linux-based systems on public cloud services, e.g. GCP; AWS
