Lead Developer / Software Architect
Location: Worthing (remote at present)
Initial Duration: 6 Months
Rate up to £617 per day based on relevant experience
** IR35 - OUT OF SCOPE**
The successful candidate will work as the Lead Developer in my clients Digital Centre in Worthing. My clients aim is to have Lead Developers in each of their Digital centres throughout the UK. The role is not affiliated to an individual team. Rather, it is intended the successful candidate will represent my client in a cross-centre Lead Development community. The individual will be helping to focus future technical growth/strategy on my clients Digital platform; help to ensure adherence to platform standards within their centre and be generally available to all teams for technical advice and assistance.
Role Requirements:
* Experience of developing and designing Restful APIs
* Experience of working on large scale / high throughput architectures
* Hands-on development experience with Scala
* Understanding/experience of DevOps technologies (Jenkins/Grafana/Kibana)
* Experience of technically leading pieces of work within Agile teams
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate on multiple levels - from developers within teams to key business stake holders outside of the teams
* Demonstrable experience of developing junior developers
Desirable
* Previous experience of Government IT engagements
* Hands-on development experience with Play Framework
* Hands-on development experience with MongoDB
