Software Development Practice Manager

Work from home, much later 1 day per week in Southampton or London

c. 85k base + package

Our client is a global financial services organisation. A Software Development Manager with experience of large scale and complex software development projects is needed to help drive the software development practice community, associated framework, methodology & governance across the business.

Key duties:

Ensure a sustainable Software Development Operating Model,

Developing, implement and maintain the Software Development framework / SDLC

Ensure software development is well planned, resourced & deployed in line with roadmaps

in alignment with the overall business unit / function technology strategy and roadmaps.

Software Development governance.

Drive collaboration within the Software Dev Community by developing compelling propositions to embed ways of working.

Work with teams to support the adoption of Software Development best practice. Educating and promoting a learning culture.

Drives quality of Software Development execution

Contribute to the assessment, enablement, growth and sustainability of Software Development capabilities

Implements Software Development measurements to evaluate compliance of the organisation to Software Development methodology.

Quality Assurance of software dev methodology

Team leadership

Deep experience of large-scale software development environments

Software development best practice

Agile Practitioner

DevOps

IT delivery lifecycles

Root cause analysis

Strong documentation skills

Cross border virtual team management
