Engineering Manager / Software Development Team Lead (Agile C# .Net) *Remote Interview WfH*. Are you a technologist who enjoys leadership and developing others?

You could be joining a global travel company; they have continued to invest in technology throughout the past year and are in a good position for continued growth.

As an Engineering Manager you will manage a team of 8-10 direct reports that are focused on designing and developing real-time flight booking systems across the company's global brands; these systems are extremely complex, pulling data from a variety of sources to provide real-time availability and pricing information.

You'll be responsible for ensuring the continued growth and evolution of the in-house developed platform, including assessing and recommending new technologies and techniques. Your main focus will be on line management; you'll motivate and support your team through training, mentoring, collaboration and team events as well as effectively managing and communicating career progression and succession plans. You'll working within an Agile development environment, driving collaboration and Agile ways of working within a .Net Core microservices based tech stack.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in the coming months you'll join colleagues in Kingston-upon-Thames for 1-2 days a fortnight with continued flexibility to work from home for most of the time.

Requirements:

*You have a strong software engineering background, ideally with C# .Net although Java also considered, with a thorough understanding of the

*You have a good understanding of multi-tier, high volume, transactional systems

*You have advanced communication skills; you're able to motive and inspire others and enjoy helping people progress

*You have a good knowledge of Agile development methodologies
