Senior Cloud Engineer - Remote

A Senior Cloud Engineer is required by prestigious organisation to work on a remote basis.

As the Cloud Engineer, you will act as both a senior engineer and cloud evangelist for the company's project work or their core cloud platform. You will be advising and shaping technical best practice, working with the technical lead to shape and deliver future capability. Delivering cloud-based infrastructure and systems, using well architected patterns, working on bid returns and delivery, leading work packages. Creating and implementing designs that reflect the major benefits of cloud such as scalability, availability, redundancy, and security.

Essential Skills for the Senior Cloud Engineer:Eligible for or hold SC clearanceExperience in leading design and deliveryTechnical degree (computer science, maths, engineering, or equivalent) and/or similar technical experienceInfrastructure as code experience, using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationA cloud related certification (we're after AWS Solutions Architect Associate or higher)Experience working in an Agile environment with the associated toolingExperience in creating and leading infrastructure DevOps teams and processes / tooling (automated testing, CI/CD, pipelines etc)

Desirable Skills for the Senior Cloud Engineer:Experience leading Agile environments and implementing processes in associated toolingExperience of software, systems or data designMore specialised AWS certificationsExperience of other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)Experience of containerisation and microservices
