Senior Platform Engineer - Manchester - c£70KMy client is a leading global consultancy looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to focus on delivering highly available, scalable enterprise solutions on IAAS/PAAS platforms to their respective clients. The RoleYour work will transform businesses by actively working with clients on IaaS, PaaS, SaaS solution strategies, designs, and delivery programmes which will allow for first-class end-to-end solutions and methodologies for best practice. You will implement and maintain platforms and services in line with client needs and constraints as well as create and enhance design standards and patterns for infrastructure and system components.RequirementsAs my client works with a range of clients and projects, a breadth and depth of knowledge across all platform and site engineering disciplines would be beneficial or at least an ability to learn and adapt upon similar past experience.You will be a good fit for this role if you have the following:Experience with AWS, Azure or Google CloudExperience with Continuous Integration Systems such as Hudson, Jenkins, or ConcourseExperience with Configuration Management tooling such as Ansible, Chef or SaltExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm or OpenshiftKnowledge of Backend Infrastructure, Security, and Database Administration SkillsMy client are open to candidates of all technical backgrounds looking to crossover into the platform engineering space (infrastructure, development, testing, operations and support).As a person you will succeed in this role if you:Are willing to learn and adapt and have an innovative mindsetHave strong communication skillsCan work as part of a multidisciplinary teams My client provide a supportive learning and development environment through unique training opportunities, whilst also providing a comprehensive flexible benefits package and lifestyle policies that enable their employees to balance their individual, family and work-life needs.
