£85,000 - £110,000 DOE

As a GCP/AWS Data Architect, you will be expected to deliver first-class end-to-end solutions for your clients.

With an increasing demand for their services, our client is looking to hire a number of individuals. We are looking for seasoned Data Professionals who have experience working in senior, architect-level or leadership-level positions. You should also have excellent experience in either Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Relevant Experience

oAWS / Amazon Web Services (Athena, Redshift, Glue, EMR)

oGCP / Google Cloud Platform

oJava, Scala, Python, Spark, SQL

oEnterprise grade ETL/ELT data pipelines

oData manipulation/wrangling techniques

oData engineering best practices (DS, unit testing, version control, code review)

oBig Data Eco-Systems, Cloudera/Hortonworks, AWS EMR, GCP DataProc or GCP Cloud Data Fusion

oNoSQL Databases, Dynamo DB/Neo4j/Elastic, Google Cloud Datastore

oBigQuery and Data Studio/Looker

oSnowflake Data Warehouse/Platform

oStreaming technologies and processing engines (Kinesis, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Spark)

oCI/CD technologies (Git, Jenkins, Spinnaker, GCP Cloud Build, Ansible)

oContainerisation, Docker, Kubernetes

oBuilding and deploying to cloud (AWS, Google Cloud) including Cloud provisioning tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Cloud Deployment Manager)

oStrong interpersonal skills, working with stakeholders' requirements.

Important: Whilst there is a strong likelihood of continued remote working, candidates should be aware of the need to travel and work on client sites where required (expenses paid). This can, on occasion, include staying away from home (expenses paid). You will be assigned a base office closest to your home.

This position would be suitable for those who have held the following titles: AWS Data Architect, GCP Data Architect, Cloud Data Architect, AWS Cloud Data Architect, GCP Cloud Data Architect, Data Architect, Google Cloud Data Architect.
