We are a focussed team of exceptionally talented engineers, developers and designers committed to helping Santander deliver value through use of latest technologies and ideas including blockchain, AI, Chatbots, Big Data etc. and developing our team through continued learning and challenging the ways of working to accelerate innovation trough agility, design thinking and hypothesis driven development

The opportunity

By joining our team you will have the opportunity to grow and learn through the challenge of building software in a highly dynamic and inventive environment.

As a senior member of the team you will drive the design, implementation, testing, deployment and post-release support in an agile development environment. You will execute on engineering and release priorities successfully through strong leadership and communication.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

You have designed and implemented fast and efficient heterogeneous solutions featuring horizontally scalable technologies using open source technologies

You can direct your team's focus to what matters most

You can help your team shine while building responsibilities and growing in their roles

You have a passion for huge, scalable systems, databases, and the right technology for the job

You are a cloud ninja, with a deep knowledge in AWS architecture.

Expert in software engineering

Broad experience of agile software development practices (Unit testing, Test driven development or CI/CD)

Experience building applications in cloud environments

Extensive experience working with Spring Framework and Message Queues

Experience working with automated build and continuous integration systems Ansible, Chef, Puppet or Jenkins

GitHub or Stack Overflow contributions

Previous experience as full stack or back end developer of Javascript, nodeJS and web services

Able to define technical architecture solutions
