Senior Python Developer / Data Engineer (ETL API Google Cloud) Are you an accomplished Senior Python Developer looking for an opportunity to accelerate your career and play a key role driving forward the future of data at an industry-leading organisation?

You could join this pioneering independent research consultancy in a highly impactful position supporting the infrastructure and strategic projects which are integral to optimising the data content and capabilities of the company. They specialise in providing real-time, in-depth information on global energy markets. They combine extensive data models with a core market platform to support their network of high-level industry contacts.

As a Senior Python Developer you'll take ownership of building and maintaining the ETL pipelines in Python, working closely with Data Analysts and other technical analysts to ensure the availability of core platforms and the performance and operations of the data infrastructure, data products and APIs. You'll also take ownership of designing and implementing new solutions for use by the data team, in conjunction with supporting a range of strategic, company-level data initiatives.

Requirements:

You have strong data engineering experience using Python

You have good knowledge of ETL and Data APIs

You have e Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL

You have an understanding of how to best organise and model data for storage, retrieval and analysis

You have experience with Cloud technologies, Google Cloud Platform GCP preferred but AWS also considered

You have experience of working with software development teams

You're a proactive communicator who excels when working collaboratively
