We are searching for a talented Android Developer to come on board on a permanent basis with no two days being the same and starting ASAP. You will be collaborating closely with an elite team of developers to make a big impact on the future of the business! Your Responsibilities:Interacting with business analysts, quality engineers and UX/UI designersValidating requirements and system designExecuting code reviewsOptimising and refactoring code structuresSupporting the Release and Incidents teamQuickly find and fix any issues with AppsKeeping up to date on the latest Android technologies and sharing insights within the organisation Essential Skills: Sound understanding and practical experience of engineering fundamentals of mobile developmentKnowledge of APIs, troubleshooting, latency, etc.Strong experience with NFCExperience building commercial Android applicationsConfident in working with the GitKnowledge of the entire software development lifecycleHave solid understanding of designing a mobile experience for different screen sizesBe excited by the changing Android landscapeAbility to collaborate as part of a cross-functional team, are familiar with agile principles, and are passionate about sharing knowledge internallyHands-on experience of continuous deliveryExperience reviewing codeAbility to or keenness to, mentor/develop junior (or less experienced) EngineersStrong understanding of Android application architecture patterns, threading and how to write appsExperience in Functional Reactive Programming using RxJava, Kotlin or other FRP frameworksExperience in dependency injection using Dagger2 or other DI frameworkComfortable working with both Kotlin and Java Android codebasesExperience with Android Studio, GradleKnowledge of JenkinsCommercial experience with CircleCIKnowledge of JIRA, ConfluenceExperience with Espresso, Junit, Mockito If this sounds like the ideal Android Developer role for you, please send through your up-to-date CV and expected salary.Equally, if there is anyone you know who would be a suitable fit for this Android Developer position, we at Premier have a competitive referral scheme of up to £500 for all successful candidates placed.
