Electronic Hardware EngineerCheltenham 6 months£45phMy Client is looking for a Lead Engineer for a 6 month contract, this role will be base in Cheltenham as it involves testing of hardware assets which requires access to the on site test rigs.Key Activities: *Development of verification test procedures for a Power Control Unit (PCU)Execution of verification testing and authoring of verification test reportsFault finding and root cause investigations for qualification and verification test failures.Essential Responsibilities: *Responsible for developing and reviewing hardware verification test proceduresResponsible for the execution of hardware verification tests and authoring, reviewing and releasing the verification test reportsAssisting with fault finding and root cause analysis for qualification and verification test failures.Qualifications / Requirements: *Electronics/electrical engineering degree from an accredited university or equivalent knowledge and experience.Significant experience in the design, implementation and testing of digital and analogue electronics hardwareFamiliarity with A825 (CAN), RS485, Ethernet and ARINC 429 communications interfaces.Competent in the use of standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs and power supplies for testing and fault finding of complex analogue and digital electronics.Strong oral and written communication skillsCompetent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.Desired Characteristics:Experience in hardware development for aviation or other safety critical applications.Proficiency with the following tools: Windchill, TipQA, DOORsIf you feel you would be suitable, please send in your CV
