Project Lead  -Accounting Software  - Financial Services Consultancy

A delivery lead / Project lead with finance change experience required for growing financial services consultancy with award winning  accounting rules software for insurance and investment banking. This role specialises on delivery solutions for IFRS 17 therefore,  we are seeking a finance change specialist who can run 2-3 small project teams simultaneously to deliver and implement sub-ledger solutions for clients.

Role requirements:-

Qualified accountant with 5 years post qualification experience in the financial services industry - ideally an insurance company or investment bank, in a business facing area.

Experience in leading and delivering complex finance change programs within financial services.

Highly mathematical, as IFRS17 implementations will require the resource to work with actuaries and be able to understand the actuarial model outputs & processes.

Ability to own the assigned tasks and work on these independently when required

Show initiative, research a problem using all materials available including the internet

Ability to work with technical resources

Excellent communicator

Ability to work within a consulting team and to liaise with client resources  

Advantageous: insurance industry experience, especially solvency II or IFRS17.

You will lead the team working to implement the IFRS 17 solution to meet the client's requirements for each individual implementation, which could be configuration of an express solution, developed for less complex clients, or may require a full enterprise level implementation

Initially, the work will be focused on the client's IFRS17 Solution, however, the company provides an accounting platform which will be used by clients from multiple disciplines where an Accounting Rules Engine and or Sub Ledger is required.

As a member of an IFRS17 implementation team, you will be responsible for the solution design to meet the client requirements and definition of relevant data to support the calculation and accounting requirements.

You will define system test cases and participate in the execution of system testing ensuring all IFRS17 calculation parameters have been tested.  You will create test cases, test data, and expected results to ensure the clients specific requirements are met.

Significant training and support will be given.

Technical skills:

Expert MS-Excel user

MS-Word, MS-Powerpoint,

Sql (advantageous, not a must a have)

Relational database knowledge
