Java Developer / Backend Software Engineer (Kafka SpringBoot TDD) Pioneering FinTech who are currently transforming the modern consumer banking sector is seeking an accomplished Java Developer to join their dynamic team that are responsible for the Core Banking technology platform.

The organisation has created a ground-breaking, cloud-based, data-centric SaaS platform to give their clients a truly next generation experience. Their platform is built in Java on AWS infrastructure, supported by AWS services and open source frameworks.

As a Java Developer, you'll join a fast-moving, mission-critical aspect of the business where you'll take ownership of designing and developing new features and enhancements, predominantly using Java. You'll benefit from a highly technical environment where modern TDD is championed, alongside cloud-based microservices, CI/CD and Big Data streaming technologies

Requirements:

You have experience with modern core Java (including SpringBoot) they are using Java 11

You have experience with high volume processing and real-time distributed systems

You have a good working knowledge of cloud based microservices

You have experience with TDD and are an advocate of quality clean code

Experience with any of the following would be useful: Kafka, Hadoop, Spark (or other data streaming); SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes

You're a proactive team player who excels when working collaboratively in a team
