We are looking for an Application Support Manager who is looking for the next step in their career to join our .NET Application Services team.
You will work closely with the Application Services Manager to ensure the stability and further improve our extensive suite of applications that underpin many of the operational processes that contribute to Iceland's success. As the team leader, you will be responsible for the management of day-to-day tasks, promoting the highest standards of support and delivering high impact application changes to our fast-paced business.
As a team working in an Agile SCRUM Methodology, you should possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable working closely with Business Analysts, Quality Assurance and other members of the Development team to deliver quality software collaboratively. Flexibility is essential, as is the ability to adapt with the business' changing needs. You should work well under pressure, displaying evidence of excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
Iceland's product specification, HR and scheduling, supplier finance and product forecasting systems are just a few of the in-house .NET applications that you will be working with. Our newer and in development applications are built using .NET core, utilising some of the latest technology in Azure such as serverless functions, logic apps and cognitive services, all of which will be under your remit. There are also more legacy applications using older versions of the .NET framework with MVC, ADO.NET and utilising stored procedures, so a broad knowledge of current and past technologies is essential.
