Data Developer / Engineer London to £85k

Data Developer / Engineer (Python ETL API Google Cloud). Are you a data savvy technologist looking to progress your career working on a modern tech stack with daily challenges and learning opportunities?

You could be joining a tech driven real-time market data and research provider for Renewable Energy markets as part of a small collaborative team of software and finance professionals you'll be able to take ownership and see the effects of your work quickly.

As a Data Developer you'll build and maintain ETL pipelines in Python and ensure performance and operations of the data infrastructure, data products and data APIs as well as designing and implementing new solutions for the data team and wider business. You'll provide subject matter expertise and keep up to date with emerging tools and technologies, pro-actively seeking improvements.

The company is currently able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process as well as fulltime work from home; following social distancing measures you'll join colleagues in the Canary Wharf office with some continued flexibility going forward.

Requirements:

Strong data engineering experience using Python

Good knowledge of ETL and Data APIs

Experience with Cloud technologies, Google Cloud Platform GCP preferred but AWS also considered

Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases e.g. SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL

Understanding of how to best organise and model data for storage, retrieval and analysis

Experience of working with software development teams

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
