This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding IT Department with the opportunity to work on a variety of BAU activities and projects. About the Team

We have a number of opportunities available across different departments including our Retail Stock and Logistics team and our HR Systems team.

The Retail Stock and Logistics team support systems that handle millions of pounds worth of transactions everyday, import stock from around the world and ensure stock is sent across our retail estate efficiently.

The HR Systems team support both internally developed and 3rd party applications which are used by various different HR departments within Next, across our Head Office, Directory, Store, Warehouse and Directory departments. About the Role

The role will focus around supporting the current environment and delivering projects committed to this seasons plan, next seasons plan and beyond. This role is paramount in providing a continuity of service through BAU support, to improve current integrations and to also improve visibility through monitoring and reporting. You'll use your expertise and experience to help us continually improve our processes and working practices, actively enabling the department to become as efficient and effective as it can be. You'll report directly to the Project Manager and you will work with the specific areas of the business to assess current and future processes, with a view to capturing detailed requirements, identifying solution options and providing pragmatic balanced recommendations. Your people skills will be a huge asset to you in this role and the ability to build strong relationships with our finance stakeholders is key. Ideally you will have experience of working with financial systems so that you are able to produce relevant systems requirements or offer pragmatic business process changes. You will: Work with cross-functional systems teams to ensure that the systems requirements are documented and that you understand the impact on other teams Work with development teams to translate business operational and functional requirements
Produce relevant documents Research, analyse and evaluate alternative solutions, including business process changes, and recommend the most applicable and cost effective solutions About You An experienced Business Analyst who has detailed knowledge and understanding of Retail / Financial business processes. A strong communicator and enjoy building effective relationships at all levels. A team player who thrives on working in a fast paced and busy environment. Possess strong research and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse existing systems for enhancements and support resolutions. Ideally have experience of working using the Agile methodology and writing user stories and features.
