Junior Ecommerce Content Writer
Location: Crewe
Type: Permanent/ Full Time
Salary: £19000 to £22000 per annum

Summary of Role:

We are looking for a creative junior copywriter to train with our talented team of digital marketers.
Working as part of the SEO and Content Team in a leading UK ecommerce business, our ideal candidate will provide a strong support and will play a key role in ensuring that the content strategy is delivered effectively. This is an interesting and varied position in which you will undertake a variety of tasks which are centred around external business communications. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has recently completed a degree level qualification or similar in a humanities or business subject and who is excited to start a career where their creative writing skills, high levels of written English and their keen eye for detail can be fully utilised and developed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Junior Ecommerce Content Writer, each day will be different and there will be a strong focus on developing your confidence in the role. A selection of the main tasks that you will be responsible for are:
* Write, edit and maintain ecommerce pages on the ecommerce website
* Work within the SEO team to ensure the national website content is optimised for SEO and to contribute to the wider ecommerce strategy
* Ensure that new product and category pages added to the website are in line with SEO best practice
* Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
* To create engaging content to support a national ecommerce brands websites external communications with both customers and publishers
* Participate in link building and outreach strategies
* To produce copy as part of the companys internal communications, liaising with key stakeholders across the business
* Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
* Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone)
* Assist the Marketing team in day-to-day tasks and social media where necessary
* Generate ideas for promoting product and ecommerce content on social media, newsletters and beyond
* Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines

Skills Required:

* Strong communicator, both written and spoken
* Very high level of English and good understanding of grammar
* Superb organisation skills
* Knowledge of basic SEO principles and best practice is desirable
* Confident user of Microsoft packages- especially Outlook, Word and Excel
* Attention to detail, high levels of accuracy
* Ability to work independently
* Helpful, keen to learn; positive can do attitude
* Team player
