Every week, Ofsted carries out hundreds of inspections and regulatory visits to England's childcare and educational service providers. Holding these services accountable for delivering the highest standards, we work in a regulatory capacity, supporting services as they address their weaknesses. We gather and process information and statistics for government and the wider public, and have some 1,800 employees across eight regions and more than 2,300 Ofsted Inspectors in the field.
Our new Applications Support Team is responsible for the day-to-day support and maintenance of services to customers and colleagues. Their role is particularly important as we adjust to new ways of working and living. Join us in this challenge, and you will play an instrumental role in helping us enhance our customer and staff experiences.
About the role
We are now making extensive use of Robotics Process Automation (RPA) to improve the speed and accuracy of data collection and delivery. You'll be integral to its success. Responsible for the ongoing management, support and maintenance of our UIPath platform, you'll diagnose and prioritise incidents, investigating their causes and finding solutions. You may also work alongside a RPA Developer to find UiPath process solutions. It's a chance to work as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team with a strong customer focus. We'll look to you to evaluate vendor product developments and contribute to improvements to the service. You can also expect to mentor less experienced members of the team.
You'll bring extensive technical experience of configuring and managing an RPA UiPath platform, including the use of UiPath Designer and Orchestrator. You'll be used to managing incidents and changes with service management tools, and will have experience of analysing and troubleshooting complex technical problems. This should include developing documentation to support system take-up and usage. An excellent communicator, collaborator and a team-player, you'll be ready to deliver high-quality results under pressure and at pace.
