My Telecoms Client who is based in London is looking for a Commercial Transformation Specialist for an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend.

Why this role has come about:

Service Platforms are seeking to establish a rigorous and consistent Project Accounting process across all their Delivery Portfolios to enable the provision of accurate & timely financial information pertaining to all projects contained within their Annual Plan. Provide Insightful reporting across Service Platforms to enable informed decision making, particularly relating to challenges around the Service Platforms MTP & ensure that appropriate processes & governance are in place to provide the right level of controls, and to enable information to be shared across Service Platforms

Service Platforms are also seeking a review of their Resource EBITDA via Activity Based Accounting. Currently there is no clear visibility of Non-Portfolio resources by Activity which doesn't allow understanding and challenge of "Resource" EBITDA actuals in a consistent way. We need to understand the rationale for all Resources contributing to "Resource" EBITDA actuals, and to ensure they are accurate and appropriate, and that there are monthly controls are in place and insightful reports which enable reporting of movements to Resource EBITDA

What you would be doing:

Delivery of Service Platforms Commercial Transformation, responsible for delivering the following:

*Removing financial complexity for PM's to enable TLD to meet efficiency targets,

*Development, Implementation and implementation of a Project Accounting Template across Service Platforms

*End to End Process simplification

*Monthly Reporting processes established

*Rate card Principles Documented

*RACI Documented across Service Platforms

*Baseline Resource EBITDA by Activity per OUC

*Resource EBITDA Control Process Documented

*Resource recovery principles documented to enable identification of EBITDA reduction opportunities

*Enabling the adoption of the MFB programme across Service Platforms

Skills for the job

*Storytelling with data: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences

*Organised & detail orientated -strong understanding of incoming funding and how you manage the spend/costs throughout the year

*Negotiation skills - working with stakeholders (inc CFUs), ensuring you are firm in your negotiations

*Stakeholder management - as the person responsible for ensuring that we meet scorecard KPI's you'll need to work closely with other teams and challenge where necessary

*Reporting - creation of reports that are useful, accurate and unambiguous

*Commercial acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases)

*MANDATORY: Strong track record of managing budgets

*MANDATORY: Ability to demonstrate specific opportunities to transform and simplify a business approach to managing finances

*MANDATORY: Creating and delivering reports which are well used, timely and appropriate

*MANDATORY: Risk management - you need to call out and manage risks, and deliver good and bad news

*PREFERRED: Experience of managing suppliers and vendors
