This position will design, develop, and unit test enhancements and defect fixes and work with other members of the technology team to deliver new releases on schedule and with high quality in accordance with our plans.DutiesDesign, develop and maintain applications / integrationsSuggest operationally feasible solutions to technical or customer related problemsProvide reasonable and accurate time estimates for tasks, and consistently meet deadlinesDetermines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development and proposed solutionsDocuments and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear codeLearn new technologies as needed to successfully perform these dutiesHelp define and evolve product development standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metricExecute on other assignments as directedCreate unit test cases and apply these against developed software to ensure qualityDebug software and fix defects uncovered during the testing processWork with other software engineers, managers, QA engineers, technical writers, and technical operations team members, as needed, to ensure quality and the successful rollout of new applications or featuresCreate relevant documentation in accordance with company software development methodology (e.g. comments in code, design documents)Follow existing standards in daily work. (e.g. coding standards and design standards)Provide post-release software and application support, including incident reportingSupport maintenance of processes and procedures to maintain the ERP systemAbout youYou are keen to learn and develop your skills. You are creative and innovative, but equally appreciate this is a commercial environment, requiring the need to focus and efficiently manage your time to meet deadlines.Experience3+ years' experience as a software developerExperience with the following technologies: .Net/C#, ASP.Net, HTML, JavaScript, SQL Server, SSIS packages, and XMLExperience with ERP systems, especially NetSuiteWorking knowledge agile development methodologies, particularly SCRUMGeneral understanding of software usability, Object Oriented Theory and OO Design, UML, Design Patterns, N-tier architectures, Web services, and SQL Databases with the ability to create robust software designs that meet the business requirementsGood working knowledge of general accounting practices, thorough understanding of business flow and common EDI transaction sets a plusExperience supporting CRM and accounting packages a plusEssential skillsExcellent listening, written and verbal communicationsSelf-motivated, positive personality, team playerAbility to follow existing standards and working proceduresStructured problem-solving approach, with good time management skills and committed to learning and developing new skillsBefore making an offer, TrueCommerce may carry out a criminal record check against you.
