Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager - Smoke Ventilation

Location: Covering the M25 Area

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum + Travel/Car Allowance

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday)

The Company, founded in 1988, is a specialist in natural and smoke ventilation systems and have been importing, manufacturing, supplying, installing and commissioning smoke ventilation systems for over 30 years for a variety of projects of all shapes and sizes.

Job Role:

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to manage Smoke Ventilation projects in and around London. Typically, projects include electrical and mechanical installation, forming a complete turnkey smoke ventilation solution. You will be required to manage all aspects of business delivery in respect to the planning, organisation, monitoring, control, and delivery of profitable contracts in accordance with the company's core values

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the budget, client's programme, whilst maintaining high standards of quality
  • Management of teams of engineers
  • Employee performance management - ensuring all training and development needs are met
  • Arranging Client/Progress/Site Meetings, as and when required
  • Issuing of commercial and contractual correspondence as required
  • Participate in reviews of contractual performance
  • Advanced organisation and planning
  • To have a thorough knowledge of safety standards, monitor safety performance and promote a positive and safe culture including ensuring adherence to standards

The Candidate:

Skills

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project schedules utilising either MS Project, Excel or other Project scheduling tools
  • Attention to detail for all aspects of work
  • Technically proficient in electrical installations
  • Managing a portfolio of multiple projects at any one time all at various stages of completion, value and location
  • Promote value engineering solutions
  • Handling internal work relationships
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently
  • Excel in people management, staff supervision, able to motivate and lead
  • Confident, professional, and flexible
  • Energetic and able to handle pressure whilst achieving all agreed client deadlines
  • Prepare and execute commissioning documents
  • Effective time management and logical decision-making ability
  • Needs to have a strong focus on quality

Specific Qualifications

  • Minimum of an HNC Level Construction Management
  • Gold Card CSCS Card holder
  • 18th Edition BS7671
  • Minimum SMSTS Certificate
