About the job

The Department for International Trade, is at the heart of the UK's relationship with the global economy. Our role is to promote and enable UK trade globally by helping businesses to take advantage of the appetite for British goods and services around the world, attracting foreign companies and investment to our shores, and helping international companies work with UK suppliers.

Digital Data and Technology (DDaT)

The Data team in DDaT research, build and support data services for use across DIT and beyond. These services include:

Data Workspace, DITs platform for accessing and using data

the department's Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), Data Hub and work to develop future CRM capability that better meets the departments needs

the Tariff Application Platform

Data Science

This is an exciting time to be part of the Data Team - our products and services are recognised as some of the best in government. Our modern infrastructure enables us to focus on delivering exceptional data products for the department rather than managing legacy technology.

Project Delivery Profession

DIT operates in a complex landscape. Our international network is spread across 108 countries in 177 individual locations. We have teams in the UK Regions including as part of the Northern Powerhouse and Midlands Engine. We work across geographies and sectors; have a blend of policy and delivery responsibilities; provide face to face, digital services and marketing and events; and work in partnership with other government departments. As we continue to evolve as a Department, we need to drive innovation in the way we work internally and with partners and are looking for talented project delivery professionals to help us.

Location

Post Covid-19 restrictions we would expect these roles to be working in a DIT hub location 2/3 days per week with the rest of the time working remotely. Our principal hub is currently London but we are expecting to grow our footprint in the North of England over the next 12 months and can accommodate these home locations. Your home base can be discussed further at interview.
