Due to impressive growth over recent years, my client are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Power BI Designer to join their team, where you will have the opportunity to really hone-in on your data visualisation and UX skills. You will be contributing to an organisation with a real social purpose - helping local authorities to overcome social challenges through data analysis and insight, transforming the way they make impactful decisions. They are looking for someone who is extremely passionate about data visualisation and data story-telling, and who is excited to take their career to the next level by designing attractive dashboards for a range of clients. This role will focus predominantly on designing and optimising front-end BI dashboards, with considerable thought given to the user experience. You will liaise directly with clients throughout, to understand their requirements, formulate user-stories and initial design sketches for the Power BI visualisations, as well as optimising the end-product and providing end-user training. Other technical developers in the team will focus on the data modelling, and you will purely focus on the user experience element. As such, you should have a real flair for design and a genuine interest in data visualisation. You will be asked to provide a portfolio of design sketches and/or Power BI examples as part of the application process, to demonstrate your natural design ability. This is a home-based role, although once things return to normal you will occasionally visit client-sites for brainstorming sessions and client workshops - these clients could be based anywhere in the UK, and this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your client-facing consultancy skills.
