Hours: Part time, Full-time, Flexible working The UK Hydrographic Office's world-leading range of charts, publications and custom data sets can be found on over 90% of ships trading internationally, but in order to meet the evolving needs of users and reach wider markets our business is rapidly changing. As we continue to increase our digital offering, we are seeking a business change specialist to lead on the strategy to transition our paper production activity to a model that meets emerging and future customer needs. In this career defining leadership opportunity, you will lead and manage the Print and Fulfilment Team to deliver tasks/outputs to time, cost and quality standards, and manage available resources appropriately. At the same time, you will also lead and implement business changes to transition the "in house" print and fulfilment capability, analysing the implications of future requirements on their area of responsibility and preparing accordingly. You will therefore need to be acutely aware of strategic drivers for the transformation of paper production activity. Many of the changes you will be leading on will be highly emotive. You will therefore need the resilience and leadership skills to be able to overcome resistance and to achieve widespread cultural change and continuous improvement. Crucially, you will have the emotional intelligence to understand your audience and the potential/perceived impact on individuals and teams to enable them to build effective engagement to deliver the necessary change. You will also need to have the ability to manage and prioritise activity within the increasing constraints of resources, cost and time and have the vision to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency. In return The UK Hydrographic Office is a great place in which to explore your career potential. While our projects are career-defining, the work/life balance that we can offer you is equally exceptional. From flexitime, flexible working, an award-winning office environment and a generous annual leave allowance of 34.5 days including public holidays, the opportunities open to you here are hard to beat. About the UK Hydrographic Office The UK Hydrographic Office is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We work with a wide range of data suppliers and partners, surveying and charting the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations.
