Backend Engineer (Server Developer)Senior Developer role in Helsinki (English speaking) We are working with passionate gaming studio based in central Helsinki who are now looking to add a new Backend Engineer to their team. Within this role you would be working on their real-time servers for some of the most popular mobile games released worldwide. Currently their games are available on all mobile platforms (with their flagship game being downloaded more than 80 million times,) and some of them have also been released for Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U and Steam.With a combined install base of over 100million players this is a great opportunity to join an independent studio making awesome games. Responsibilities:Design, program and create scalable backend technology for our mobile gamesGame server architecture planning, implementation, deployment and maintenance (logic, network, database design)Experience in coding real-time live systems and a habit of writing readable high quality codeCommitted to tasks and an autonomous person with high level of initiative and energyWillingness to go the extra mile when live systems have issuesAmbition & love for making the coolest of games Requirements:Good amount of scalable backend development experienceEpic Java programming skills - with server-side Java, including POJO's, concurrency handling and distributed systemsExtensive knowledge of AWSExperience with Linux shell and scripting languagesDatabase design and implementation skills and SQL knowledgeYou understand what it means to support large user volumesKnowledge of the existing server solutions and servicesExperience with cloud computing platformsExperience in load balancing technologies Interesting information:Winner of the Apple Design Award & iPad Game of the Year and many other awards Freedom to design your own workflow and to choose your won laptop/workstationCompetitive Salary + option programmeFlat hierarchy environment where your opinion counts and is heard For more information please apply or send you CV with any questions to [email protected].
