Java Developer - Agile Docker DevOps Risk Developer  - investment Banking 

Agile Java developer required with DevOs docker, packaging microservices and TDD required to work on enterprise Risk system. Excellent knowledge of Java development in an agile, DevOps environment with TDD Kafka for messaging, Docker Packaging Microserves etc , Python and SQL highly advantageous. Also required, strong software design, coding, documentation and analysis skills and you should also have very good SQL database skills preferable:.

This is a very technical role, rather than working on risk calculations etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

• Proven experience programming on at least one large scale system (large data or compute volume)
• Candidate should have worked as a developer on at least one large enterprise / financial  system
• Industry experience of scripting using Python very desirable
• Optional: knowledge of risk management, especially market or counterparty risk
• Optional: some practical experience of Oracle Coherence, Platform Symphony and other High Performance Computing technologies

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

Working in a highly agile environment, the successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the role of a developer as follows:

• Develop, implement and unit test the required solution, respecting best practices, standards and tools.
• Follow the SAFe Agile process
• Translate stories into technical solutions.
• Plan, design, perform and manage all tests required to prove acceptance and non regression of the change
• Own the change from initial design through to go live
• Take part in peer group code reviews
• Identify risks and issues, and help monitor them
• Document solutions for maintenance and support.

The candidate is expected to perform the above tasks in collaboration and agreement with the Scrum Master, Product Owner and other Developers in the squad and where necessary with members of the other development squads and the Application Production and Infrastructure teams.
