Backend Software Engineer London to £100k *Remote UK WFH*

Backend Software Engineer / Python Developer (Real-time Data R&D SQL) *Remote UK WFH*. FinTech solutions provider is seeking a data centric Backend Software Engineer with strong Python experience as they expand their UK presence; this is a remote role working anywhere in the UK.

As a senior Backend Software Engineer you will prototype and develop new features, analytics and enhancements to the core trading platform with a focus on improving backend infrastructures, optimising platform performance and ensuring scalability. You'll get to see your work go live rapidly from idea to prototype to build and release, collaborate with other senior engineers to make the technical choices and provide technical leadership to more junior team members, allowing you to make a real impact and progress your career.

Driven by technology this company is able to offer a remote interview / onboarding process and full-time work from home from anywhere in the UK.

Requirements:

Advanced Python development skills including backend development experience

Logical mindset with a passion for problem solving

Collaborative, keen to learn and share knowledge with others

Strong understanding of SQL and data modelling principles

Software stack includes Java, RabbitMQ, MySQL, Docker, AWS, ElasticSearch - experience with any of these advantageous

Degree educated, 2.1 or above gained in Computer Science or similar technical / scientific / numerate discipline
