Firmware Engineer now needed for exciting company based near to Bristol delivering state of the art technology saving gigatonnes of C02 emissions!. The successful Firmware Engineer will have a proven ability to deliver firmware for real time embedded systems using C and/or C++, knowledge of object-oriented design for embedded systems and signal processing & control system design and implementation. The ideal Firmware Engineer will also have knowledge of brushless DC motor control techniques,  Microchip and ARM Cortex-M microcontroller architectures and a detailed knowledge of serial communication protocols including CAN, SPI, I2C and USB.  It would be beneficial to have a strong background in electronics with experience of FPGA programming in VHDL/Verilog,  simulation and modelling using Matlab or similar. The successful Firmware Engineer will be responsible for the design, develop, test,  delivery and maintenance of firmware for existing and new products.
