Ruby Developer London / WfH to £70k

Ruby Developer / Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails RoR). Would like to join a small team working on complex and interesting systems, where you can take ownership and progress your career?

As a Ruby Developer at this mobile technology software house you will design and develop new features and enhancements to the core product which enables large clients such as TV broadcasters, retail brands, digital agencies, media companies, technology companies and mobile operator partners with SMS text based solutions for customer engagement, live voting for broadcasters and mobile payments.

You'll be using Ruby on Rails, working within a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment environment, deploying to the cloud (AWS). The systems are complex and highly transactional presenting many interesting technical challenges, upcoming project around live streaming of events. You'll be able to work with a great deal of autonomy whilst collaborating with a small, talented team.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process, in time you'll join the team in London with a friendly and sociable atmosphere with regular events and continued flexibility to work part of the week at home (2-3 days).

Requirements:

Strong Ruby on Rails development experience

Web backend development experience

Experience of working in an Agile TDD team, ideally with RSpec experience

Good knowledge of RDBMS and the Linux command line

Familiar with AWS

Degree educated, 2.1 or above - Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
