Job Title : Online Programmer- Permanent My client, a young, vibrant and growing organisation are looking for an Online Programmer to help continue the growth and development of the company who specialise in the gaming sector. This company is a place in which collaboration, inclusion and a genuine casual atmosphere make for the fundamentals in which they pride themselves. The position is one that is starting as soon as possible remotely and then when things open up a hybrid model can be adopted if preferred.
As an Online Programmer, you will be Integrating third party online game services (including but not limited to: account management, leaderboards, IAP, party etc) and harnessing and implementing their features. My client practices code review, continuous integration and agile methodologies Required Skills : A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant experience.A strong grasp of C++3+ years of industry experience.Experience communicating with online services from client applicationsExperience with DockerExperience with Linux/Unix and scripting languagesA strong desire to overcome difficult hurdles.A strong desire to learn new skills.A methodical mind and the ability to think outside the box.A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and constantly improveStrong problem-solving skillsStrong communicator with the ability to articulate systems and ideas effectivelyPreferred Skills :Industry experience using Unreal Engine 4Experience integrating third party online SDKsExperience with at least one of 'the big three' cloud providers. Currently they use AWS and Google Cloud.Have a good grasp of backend software/microservice design, programming and debugging.Confident in commonly used languages such as Javascript/Nodejs, Go and PythonPreviously worked in a games studioPreviously worked on game services and have an understanding of the common needs and methodologies of such a project.
