JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title:Azure Linux SMEInside IR35Location: Solihull , UK Key Skills/Knowledge: ? Responsible for ensuring that any updates or additions to the Azure IaaS platform can be onboarded to the Operations team. ? Administration of Redhat Linux systems including clustering and HA within Azure ? Good Linux scripting experience to aid automation ? Responsible for the availability and performance of solutions hosted in Azure ; Ability to develop custom dashboards and alerts for solutions using Azure. ? Maintain a wide depth and breadth of IaaS and PaaS knowledge across the Azure estate. ? Manage Azure Devops Build and release pipelines ? Review and improve existing infrastructure as code pipelines. ? Carry out risk assessment and reporting; Alerting & Monitoring; Maintain documents in organisation standards. ? Provide Overall Support and Automation of the Linux Server Platform and Related Linux Based Services, troubleshooting Issues, Disaster Recovery/Back Ups ? Build and Maintain Red Hat Infrastructure as Well as Automation Around Linux Host Configuration and Software Package Creation and Deployment for Various Applications. Develop Automation Scripts for Systems Administration, Deployment and Configuration of Linux Servers, Developer Desktops and Automate Operational Tasks. ? Installs, configures, and maintains Linux operating systems. ? Analyzes and resolves problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications, and software. ? Act as a Senior Resource for the Configuration and maintenance lifecycle of the Linux Workstation and Server OS Environments Including Automation and Customization. ? Responsible for Designing, Implementing and Automating Our Build, Release, Deploy, Monitoring and Configuration Processes. ? Daily maintenance/administration/Support for new product related releases and assists with new initiatives and upgrades ? Monitors systems performance and ensures compliance with security standards. Experience required: ? Demonstrable expertise in Enterprise Linux ? Demonstrable expertise in Azure IaaS ? Experienced with Python ? Working knowledge within a DevOps team using agile frameworks. ? Ansible experience ? MS Azure CI/CD pipelines / mySQL/ Oracle ? Web server administration (Nginx, Apache Httpd, IIS) ? Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) ? Demonstrable IT Infrastructure knowledge across a wide range of technologies. ? Experienced working with incidents in a mission critical environment. ? Hands-on experience working with service management tools like ServiceNow, BMC etc. ? RedHat certified preferable ? Azure certified preferable Duration of the Assignment: 1 year Person Specification: I.e. Negotiating, client facing, communication, assertive, team leading/team member skills, supportive. ? Should possess strong communication skills. ? Ability to lead and drive tasks in the domain of expertise. ? Good stakeholder management and client liaison skills. ? Ability to work in a multi-vendor team environment. ? Good presentation skills.
